Just Call Her Most Reverend Lady GaGa | Gay Rights | Change.org

We know that Lady Gaga wants your love and wants your revenge. She also wants the gays to get married, and it seems like she wants to perform the weddings.

MTV UK folks note that Gaga, long a celebrity enmeshed with LGBT rights activism, wants to up her involvement in the world of gay rights by becoming an ordained minister, and working with LGBT couples to help them get their love game on, officially.

““Lady Gaga wants to get ordained so she can marry her gay friends,” the MTV folks write. “The singer has spoken many times about her love for the gay community and spoken out against Proposition 8 legislation. But it’s claimed she now wants to go even further and become an ordained minister giving her legal permission to perform wedding ceremonies.”

Goodness. Think it’s a safe bet to say that a Rev. Lady GaGa would even give the Pope a run for his money in the elaborate outfit department?

If GaGa becomes a minister, she’ll join a list of several other celebs who have been ordained. We noted last month that Jane Wiedlin, former singer with the 80s band The Go-Go’s, is thrilled at the idea of celebrating same-sex nuptials, and was even offering discounts on her Web site for folks who want to see Rev. Wiedlin sign their marriage certificate. Tori Spelling, too, is ordained to perform weddings.

So who knows, maybe it’s a trend. Maybe Miley will be next.

Meanwhile, for those hankering for a GaGa fix, she just performed a new song at her recent concert in Minnesota, Living on the Radio. Curious? Take a sneak peek below.
