All right. Well, reality TV producers are in the business of making stars, and once stars are made, those people get all the fans, they get all the attention. You have to wonder if sometimes they just want to be left alone.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, “TELEPHONE”)

LADY GAGA: (Singing) K-kinda busy. K-kinda busy. Sorry I cannot hear you, I’m kinda busy.

GREENE: One star, Lady Gaga, seems to have found the secret to anonymity. She always dresses crazily in public; costumes, make-up, dresses made of meat. Well, when she actually wants some private time, she seems to look like herself and hopes that no one will notice.

CINDY STAUFFER: They did not recognize her right away because she is usually dressed a different way when she’s on stage.

TOM ROSE: That’s the voice of Cindy Stauffer, a reporter for the Intelligencer Journal, the newspaper in my hometown, Lancaster Pennsylvania. I reached out to her because I had been hearing these rumors that Lady Gaga has been slipping in and out of Lancaster County recently – even going to the Giant supermarket there, where I worked as a cashier back in high school.

STAUFFER: She was spotted in the meat department of the local grocery store, which cue those jokes about the meat dress.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, “PAPARAZZI”)

GAGA: (Singing) Leather and jeans, garage glamorous…

STAUFFER: She was wearing a long trench coat and very high heels.

GREENE: A trench coat. How very incognito. Well, a few people have still recognized her. They’ve come up to her and snapped photos. They’ve published them on Facebook.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, “PAPARAZZI”)

GAGA: (Singing) Pa-pa, paparazzi. Baby, there’s no other superstar, you know that I’ll be. Pa-pa, paparazzi.

GREENE: Love, it seems, is what drew Gaga to Lancaster. She’s rumored to be dating actor Taylor Kinney, who has starred in the “Vampire Diaries” and happens to be a Lancaster native.

STAUFFER: Apparently, she and Mr. Kinney met while filming the video…

GREENE: The video for this song, “You and I.”

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, “YOU AND I”)

GAGA: (Singing) Something, something about this place.

STAUFFER: I don’t know if you’ve seen the video, but it’s pretty steamy. He’s pretty hot. He has a very nice body.

GAGA: (Singing) Something ’bout lonely nights and my lipstick on your face.

GREENE: The newest rumor in Lancaster is that Gaga is looking to buy a house somewhere near town to be close to her boyfriend’s family.

GAGA: (Singing) Yeah, something about, baby, you and I.

GREENE: There have not been any Gaga sightings in Lancaster since late last year, so maybe this pop star will actually succeed in keeping her private life separate.

​Last night was the opening night for Joanne, the new Italian restaurant opened by the parents of Stefani “Lady Gaga” Germanotta and chef Art Smith, who was recently spotted making salami waffles with the pop star on her Thanksgiving special. Used to be that a restaurant would be able to get its sea legs before being subjected to the wrath of reviewers, but in an effort to goose his section’s pageviews get the early scoop the New York Post‘s Steve Cuozzo snagged a table at the West 68th Street eatery last night and went to town on the eats. He was not very impressed!

Appetizers took 50 minutes to arrive. Grilled calamari with bitter greens and radicchio were the worst I’ve had in a lifetime of squid-mongering, the salad unseasoned and the calamari like leather.One-note orecchiette with shellfish recalled the flaccid pasta commonly doled out along Long Island’s Jericho Turnpike — or at 35,000 feet.Unspeakably fatty veal osso bucco was $38. In a review the other day, I criticized the same dish at new Caffe Storico, where it cost only $28. Come back, Caffe Storico! All’s forgiven.

Jericho Turnpike? Ouch. To be fair to Cuozzo, the menu does look a bit expensive and amateurishly worded (do people who have the funds to drop $28 on it really need to be reminded that orechiette is a type of pasta?). And the place was touted on the aforementioned Thanksgiving special, so his assertion that the restaurant has the “windiest hype machine east of the Pacific” isn’t entirely unfounded (although one wonders if he’s heard of Lana Del Rey yet). Our colleagues at Fork In The Road have yet to weigh in, and as someone who ate at Britney Spears’ doomed midtown eatery Nyla back in the day (decent portobello burger, okay fries), I am very curious to see what they think.

The Park City Police Department arrested an Occupy Wall Street demonstrator a man dressed as pop star Lady Gaga — on Main Street on the first Sunday of the Sundance Film Festival, the first arrest of an Occupy figure in Park City since the movement started.

Occupy Wall Street that day staged a demonstration on Main Street as a precursor to a larger one that was held on Monday at the Wells Fargo branch on Kearns Boulevard.

Phil Kirk, a police captain, said officers were summoned to the 600 block of Main Street at 2:45 p.m. to intervene in a confrontation between the demonstrator and people in a passing Ford Explorer.

An officer arrived and found the man in the Lady Gaga outfit alongside other Occupy protesters dressed in various costumes. Kirk said the officer recognized the man in the Lady Gaga outfit as someone he had warned nearby not to block traffic 15 minutes earlier.

Kirk said the officer interviewed the demonstrator and the people in the vehicle, who are from Pleasant Grove. The demonstrator told the police the driver intentionally hit him while he was engaging people in the vehicle during the protest. The police said a woman in the vehicle told the demonstrator to get a job as the protesters were yelling at the people driving by.

The driver, who was heading northbound, started to pull over and watched as a demonstrator struck the vehicle with a sign, Kirk said. Two police officers responded. They determined that the demonstrator struck the vehicle with the sign, causing damage, Kirk said. A small dent in the right rear fender was discovered, he said, adding that the paint mark found on the vehicle matched paint that was on the demonstrator’s sign.

Kirk said the police arrested an 18-year-old Salt Lake City man named Daniel Hanna. He was charged with disorderly conduct, which is a class C misdemeanor, and a class B misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. A class B misdemeanor, the more serious charge, is punishable by six months in jail and a $1,000 fine upon conviction.

He was booked into the Summit County Jail and released that day after someone posted $683 bail, according to jail records.

There has been a series of Occupy Wall Street demonstrations in Park City stretching since the early fall. They have been peaceful and have drawn smallish crowds compared to Occupy Wall Street events elsewhere.

HollywoodNews.com: Linkin Park are gearing up for the release of their new album “A Thousand Suns,” which hits stores on September 14. They just released the chaotic video for their first single “The Catalyst,” and now the hit rock band are going to be performing at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

They are the latest band to be added to the already impressive lineup that includes Eminem, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Paramore, Drake, B.o.B., and Usher among others. Singer Chester Bennington said, “After two years of working on our new album, we’re looking forward to sharing our first live performance of new music with our fans around the world on the MTV Awards,” reports MTV.

The band will be performing “The Catalyst” on the show, which will air live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on September 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
